Audio Manipulation Application for the DS.
It's still in a very early stage of development.

Protein[DS] is a little audio manipulation software running on Nintendo DS, which ables you to manipulate audio, anywhere you go - it is in some ways similar to ElectroPlankton concept.

Using Protein[DS], you can play with up to four modules at the same time to create a live music set and control external applications, using the touchscreen, audio in/out levels, midi-out, and even motion-control. You can even play with live-recorded audio sample.

FINALLY NOW WHERE THE HELL IS MY MICRO SD CARD READER. I MUST TRY THIS VERSION OUT

EDIT: This app inspired me to do a full search for my reader and was totally worth it This is a great app and a vast improvement over the last versions. I do dearly wish that someone finally cracks the encryption of ds wifi, allowing it to (hopefully) connect directly to computers (yea blah blah patented encryption key blah blah blah build your own cable blah blah blah; a man can dream can't he?).

I gave this a go, it's great ! It's still in early stages but quite amazing what you can get the DS to do.

works fine with my R4. in fact, i'm pretty sure the developer uses an R4 himself, and get this, in the readme it even states that it is patched for the R4 by default.

are you following directions?

the 'proteinds' folder must be in the root of your card.

INSTALLATION:
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Process:
1. unzip the archive
2. enter the "ProteinDS" directory
3. DLDI patch "ProteinDS.nds" file with your linker's DLDI device patch (more info about DLDI on http://chishm.drunkencoders.com/DLDI/index.html)
--> 4. copy the whole "ProteinDS" directory at the root of your linker's filesystem

Yes. But it was called "proteind".

I'm not normally that much of a noob! Atleast I didn't go looking for my GBAMP - that could be anywhere...

that bug was fixed nearly the same day it was found.

if i remember correctly, it happened if you card was formatted as FAT instead of FAT32 or something like that.

This thing is so awesome..Best DS application/game ever I reckon...lots of fun to be had!


Mad props to the creator, this is the sort of thing the DS was made for. I'll get hours of fun out of this

New version is great...I wouldn't call it in the early stages of development
