Meh, has there ever been a completed translation of a Pokemon game before the US release? I'm not saying it isn't possible, but a lot of these groups whom are translating things tends to leave it half finished. Also, Leanny, how many of those contributes actually know Japanese, or at least enough to get any proper work done?

I don't know why this one should be more accurate. I checked it and it's about the same as the other one, except there isn't as much translated as the other project has.
Because they're not rushing it unlike the other one. Which allows them to analyze the text more carefully.

Hm... More contributers means they can progress faster than the this group. So the other group does not "rush" but have more people willing to help. But it looks like both groups havn't started with the important texts, so we can't say which is more accurate. Just wait for another week~

Actually, one thing I've noticed in playing through with each patch release so far of theirs is that they appear to be just copy-pasting things a lot, and certainly dialogue will continue to have many, many issues. This project on the other hand, as mentioned prior, takes time with their translation to make it accurate; I recall the last time there were plenty of revisions for correctional/editing purposes, whereas the Pokestation group generally tends to just release whatever has been tossed in, as evidenced by SGTREEVEEN earlier in this thread. Whilst both teams have made decent progress, I sincerely doubt the Pokestation project will eventuate in a quality release.

Also, don't forget, quantity does not necessarily equal quality.

Quantity =/= quality. I'm surprised they've made THAT much in a few days. Which further makes me think if they did analyse the text through. Translations take time, heck even nintendo knows that. One of the reasons they always push Eng. pokemon games way later instead of a few months normally. In this case, I'm pretty sure they've started the localization even before the game was announced.

The English version of the game comes out in a few month, you really don't need accurate translation. As long as you can understand what your doing, a simple translation is all you need

Meh all I needed were the battle options, I'll just get the US version in 3 months. No need for a complete translation when it comes out in 3 months

I really hope that this project wasn't founded just because they weren't happy with a work in progress.

The methodology employed by PokéStation is legible as quickly as possible, and correct errors as they are made.
It sure as hell is not a finished project, the point is that the game is accessible earlier rather than later.

Either you can take a slower time getting the stuff accurate or you can get a faster time getting the stuff legible, then accurate over time, ya know?

Otherwise it's all efforts that could have been put together for one larger translation project.

You folks need to stop believing the slander from PP. Check the facts, before you believe their lies.

No, we do not use Google Translation. I check each contribution to ensure that it is quality in terms of translation, and I have refused any contributions that came from a translator. I also check the spelling, grammar, and control codes within each contribution, and I fix any errors that I find. If I were rushing the quality of things, then I obviously wouldn't have 227 emails of contributions to deal with. Don't believe me? Go look at our GitHub and see how many pending contributions there are. If I didn't care about quality, then I wouldn't be behind because there wouldn't be any checking to do.

^That post is pure slander, and nothing but lies. We have done nothing of the sort, and I want you to PROVE that we did that. You're probably another goon working for Project Pokemon.

^You should provide some reasons as to why you think that Project Pokemon is superior. Support your opinions.

^To anyone who wants to critisize PokeStation's translation for not deactivating anti-piracy during our first few patches, check out this person criticizing PP's patch.

^We included the option for Japanese names in the PokeStation patch already. It is in the settings.

http://gbatemp.net/t...ost__p__4284305
^We do not simply "copy and paste" from the official release. If you have been keeping up with my comments, you would realize that I check each and every contribution to ensure that the translations are still valid. On numerous occasions, I have ommitted lines of text that have changed in the new games. Therefore, you are jumping to conclusions about us without facts, just like everyone else.

^I have a year of experience with Japanese, and PokeStation also has a staff member currently living in Japan. His name is Glitch, and you can speak with him yourself, if you doubt my words.

^Again, I have already included the Japanese names in the PokeStation translation. Check the options in your game.

I wasn't doubting that you didn't know any japanese or have any experience with it. I was just pointing out that they have someone who knows japanese working on it. Look, I think it's stupid to assume that they are ''rival'' translations or anything. You guys are all doing a great job and I understand that it is hard to manage and keep up consistency with patches ect.

I checked your thread and there's a lot of unfixed bugs. :( Translated doesn't mean it's correct. I'd rather wait for an official english version than play something that's confusing.
