Has anyone experienced this?
My SD card can't be read by windows after the new firmware update...
Tried both the supplied reader with the CycloDS, the SD convertor and slot on my computer and the usb convertor that came with my sd card...

Cyclo DS reads it fine, but obviously, you cant update the information on the drive, back things up or do anything requiring a computer.

I'm a bit worried, as I can't see any way this can be fixed - even if a firmware update is released, there would be no way to get it onto the card!

Nope, that didnt work...
After a few hours of trying stuff and failing, i 'solved' it like this:

Install PC Inspector: http://www.pcinspector.de/Sites/file...htm?language=1

Connect your SD card and search for lost drives. It will find it and allow you to get most of your data off.

Then download Panasonic's SD formatter: http://www.sdcard.org/about/downloads/

Format your card.

Copy data back on. For the time being, i can read the card in both windows and Cyclo

LCD/TFT don't emit light on their own, they just filter color they have to have a backlight. LED/OLED panels emit light.

Backlight can be one giant light panel with a diffusor, but recently there's mini/micro LED backlighting, where you can control the light level for smaller areas of the screen, to get better contrast and color range.
  • ZeroT21 @ ZeroT21:
yeah, lots of lcd panel tech usually have the dead backlight issue making owners think it's completely dead
  • Veho @ Veho:
And those backlights can get burn-in themselves.
