Just got an M3i Zero upgraded to latest firmware running with latest Sakura & Touchpod.
Did a search on the forum before posting and confirmed the problem with 777 freezing on loading.
According to the post 645 instead should work fine.
In my case 777 freezees on loading (both Sakura and Touchpod) but also 645 always freeze when trying to save or delete the save data (Sakura and Touchpod).
Can anyone confirm this and maybe suggest a workaround?

Update: to rule out possible incompatibility with my Adata 8GB Turbo (class 6) SDHC I tested 645 on a Supercard DSOne using the Adata SDHC and it plays just fine saving and loading with no problems.
So it seems this is definitively a problem with the M3i Zero software but still it would be great to know if someone else is also having this issue. I know 645 is very old but it is annoying to have to use my DSOne to play it.

Thanks for the answer,
RTS and soft reset are disabled, default settings were not changed and there are no .opt and .cht files associated to the 645 ROM, just the .nds and the .sav file that is created on first run in the root folder of the Micro SD.

Tested this game many times before didn't seem to have any issue. Nonetheless tested 0777 again loaded fine started a new game and haven't encounter any freezing. Perhaps check if they are indeed clean dumps. Or try using another Microsd.

Thanks for taking the time to test it again.
I tried an old Kingston 2GB made in Taiwan (the slow ones) and was able to save and load with no problems.
Still no luck with the Adata which freezes as soon as I try to save.
I even found a way to make it crash without the need to complete a mission to save.
It is sufficient to start a new campaign select federation and then trying to erase data, after confirming it always crashes.
However the Supercard load and save correctly even on the Adata.
While testing I found another ROM that completely fails to load even on the Kingston : it is 0349 - Ultimate Spider-Man (I), it freezes on the screen showing game patch 4.5.
The Supercards loads 0349 from the Adata and the Kingston.
Another bad surprise, the M3i Zero drains the battery in only 40 minutes opposed to 2 hours with the Supercard.
Maybe I got a defective M3i Zero ?

I had the same problem with 645 any time it tried to save, using a m3 real and 4gb kingston. Even if I try and change the volume levels and hit back it freezes. I wonder if the problem is only when it tries to write and initial save, or any time the game accesses the save file.

jhnsth1: If you copy the save from the 2gb kingston (after completing the 1st mission) to one of the micro sds that wasn't working, can you load a game or does it crash too?

I tried 645 with a 256mb sandisk microsd card and it froze up too. 777 won't even boot for me (black screen on load).
