Hacking problems loading dlinux on r4ds

first i used the simple .nds build
it booted and allowed me to type my username but wouldnt type the password
then i downloaded the dldi version but im not sure how to use it
all help is appreciated

It lets you type the password, you just can't see it

It's done for security...if someone saw ******* they would know your password is 7 digits long.

ya gotta just type it, then hit enter. you wont see anything typed. the cursor wont move or anything.
