So i downloaded the latest version of SNEmulDS from the main website http://www.snemul.com/ds/
and i found a random .smc Secret of Mana rom from a random website and i slapped it in the right folder

I patched the SNEmulDS program with the DLDI patch and i booted the game up.

I am getting lots of sound cracks and certain sprite sets are not showing up.

    whats going on?

Did you place SNEmul.cfg on the root of your card? It has some fixes specific to SoM that should help improve matters.

Just so you know, SNEmulDS (Or any SNES emulator for DS) does not work 100% with most games. Many of them have graphical glitches, sound problems, or are completely unplayable. There are few that work just fine with SNEmulDS, but I'm sure Secret of Mana will have graphic and problems no matter what.

well i know i am doing something wrong. cuz i can't even save my games properly.
    start from the beginning everytime.
    ---

i can't seem to keep my save files for my GBA games either.

eg. advance wars. i start a game and i save my vs game in the middle.
after reset its not there...and i need to start all over again.

    whats up?

Yes, the config file must be in the root of your card.

For the save issues, please read the documentation. It does not automatically update the .srm file when you save in-game. If you're using a Supercard, this is also why GBA saves aren't staying between sessions, as the Supercard also does not update .sav files automatically. Again, read the documentation.

For SNEmulDS, you want to read the README file, and for the Supercard you want to read the website's FAQ.

I moved the config file to root. it helped a bit with certain things, maybe i should get a new dump.

i am using the R4 with the EZ Flash 3-in-1 exp pack..
    using rudolphs tool.

I mean it creates a .sav file but doesn't not update it. i'll read the documentation.
