2 days ago my mother went on a vacation , for the weekend .
She cleaned the house and made sure we have a good feeling in the house..
Now.. My mother always told us she hopes we'll have a good weekend and we'll all feel great and wont be sad and lonely..
anyway i'm 14 , bro 19 , 2nd bro 24.

I called her on the first day and asked how it is all going and how everything is..
on the second day I didn't call but she called me.
Appearntly she called both of my brothers too and they didnt answer.

We arranged the work so that I do some things and my 24 year old brother does other , for that my 19 brother couldn't help , he wasn't at home.
My 24 years old brother is really not responsible.. and didn't do what he needed untill my mom came.
The house seemed dirty..
My mother came in and got a bit mad at me and my brother.. I felt bad so I came talking to her..

She bursted into tears telling me that the whole weekend nobody called her and she was all lonely..
I explained that I tried not to call so she'll think or know were having a good time..
While she was in bed and trying to sleep , I apologized to her and talked to her a bit . Then kissed her goodnight..

.. Now I feel a need to do something to cheer her up..
My room is already clean and I washed the remaining dishes..
The whole house is clean..

Suggestions?

Wow you should tell you mom to calm down a bit, no offence!

You talked to her on both days, she should have just been enjoying her time away, no waiting for people to call her!

Buy her a cell phone!

Hm... well, just tell her you're really sorry, and that you just didn't want to seem needy and like you needed her to come back, because that would have made her have a bad time and worry about you.

Don't worry man, it's a normal parent thing. The kids are growing up and leaving the nest; you guys don't need your mom around 24/7 and that's sad for parents; and is a big adjustment. The best thing you can do is to be a decent person, and make your mom proud she raised a good human being.

cleaning up the house a bit before she wakes up would probably be a nice surprise though!

Yea, probably just doing considerate things everyday is better than giving her one special day. Shows you care about her and willing to put a bit more effort to please her

(If you do want to do a special thing, we can't suggest much b/c ussually the best things are the most thoughtful one that only you know your mother will appreciate; from driving her to dinner to giving her a hug every once and a while
