Hi,

I just updated my old EZFlash IV with MiniSD with a Firmware from the EZFlash website (sha1:2884e3e622f100250660bc2810245ba552b90cdb)

Now I get this image:

Did I break it? Any idea what to do?

this image appears when it can't recognize the SD card.

1. What Firmware are you using?
2. What size/brand/speed SD card are you using?

1. I tried 1.78 and 2.05 - same result.
2. 2GB MiniSD Transcend. Worked before.

I tried a MicroSD-to-MiniSD Adapter and it works. I flash Firmware 2.05 with the old MiniSD and now I can use the Adapter to boot. Cool. Thank you! =)

were you using a different firmware version before? 1.75 introduced sdhc compatibility - unfortunatelly this resulted in a lowered compatibility with non-sdhc cards like your 2Gb one.

You can try one of two things:

option a: try using an sdhc card (>= 4Gb). I am not aware of any miniSD cards that are SDHC so you might need to use a microSD with a miniSD Adapter.
option b: you can try flashing an older kernel firmware (<= 1.74). The bootloader of the card should still support non-sdhc cards for upgrading purposes (in fact, in the MiniSD versions, upgrades can only be performed with a non-sdhc card)

I had this same problem. you can't use a mini SD with the later firmwares on the old card.
You need to use the mini sd to upgrade the firmware (which you just did).

After that use a mini to micro sd adapter to put a micro sd in the flashcard.

That will solve your problem.

TLDR: the mini sd doesn't work on latest firmware. You need to use a micro sd and an adapter.
