Hello. I have run into an issue with Dios Mios (v2.8) and Configurable USB Loader (70r75). I know that my Toshiba 1TB USB HDD works (it was originally formatted to FAT32 with 32kb clusters) and I can see the files on my Mac. The Wii isos work fine, but whenever I attempt loading GC isos, I don't get the Dios Mios splash screen. Instead, I get the black screen while my HDD is attempting to load the game. Originally, under the Basic Settings view, it said that Devolution Engine r200 was running and below that it said Dios Mios 2.2+. To change that, I deleted the settings.cfg file in the usb loader folder (inside the root of my SD card). I used Syscheck to generate the following log:

sysCheck v2.1.0b19 by Double_A and R2-D2199, Nano

I'm hoping that someone can help me to get the GC isos loading properly. If anyone here can help with the information I have provided, I'd like to thank you in advance :-).

One thing I didn't mention was the fact that I did run a GC game (only once), and it got to the Dios Mios splash screen, and loaded it without a problem. So I don't think it's the drive that is giving me an issue. I replaced the .dol file from Configurable USB loader to make it work, but now there is no option to switch to Dios Mios or Dios Mios Lite. Force Devolution is still included in the settings for Configurable USB Loader. I'm stumped on this issue. Could it be that I'm on System Menu 4.1? I used USB Loader GX (latest version updated online) and configured the options to run GC isos on USB. I also used Pimp My Wii, and that always says that it cannot find the file to run GC backups for some reason.

Your system menu shouldn't effect it. I read that Cyan runs on 3.2 and everything on his wii runs fine I'm sure. All your IOS's are installed and patched correctly as far as I can see. I have read that only certain versions of dios mios work with Configurable Usb-Loader, 2.6 and lower. Try the Dios Mios Booter app. I use it to load my custom gc channels, and it always works great.

Thanks for your help (and patience). I'll use Pimp My Wii to change the Dios Mios wad to a lower version. I'll let you know how that works out.

Update: Tried changing Dios Mios to 2.6 and to 2.5. Using CFG USB Loader, I found an option to change the boot method from Default to Dios Mios. Drive was set to USB and the FAT1. Attempted to load Paper Mario for GC. Result: Black screen, no Dios Mios splash screen (for 2.5 and 2.6). I'm going to switch to Dios Mios 2.11 (which is the latest one created from DMLizard). I tried USB Loader GX with the same results. I'm too scared to even see what Nintendont will do if I make an attempt to use it.

I know how frustrating this can be man. I had trouble for the longest time trying to get my gc games to load. I ended up buying a new drive, and finally all my games worked. We know it isn't the drive because you said you loaded a game from it before. This is a tough one. Have you tried dios mios lite on any back-up loaders?

Also, is the partition you load your gc games from the first one on the drive? If not, use Easeus partition manager to move the data so that it is the very first, primary, active partition on the hard drive.
