Problem using Gericom's BMG editor (Japanese-To-English translation)

    I have a Tomodachi Collection v1.0 Japanese rom I'm trying to translate. I have been extracting text with the Export feature. This has been sorted using a program that I've made to find and replace with a character that is not normally used in Japanese or English and translating with Google Translate and putting it back in the file, and replacing the signs back to the original text. When I try to import this back into the text file, I get the whole original file put into one line of text. Is there a alternative way to import and export with text files that works correctly?

    Aren't line breaks represented by /p?

    Also I think it's made for Mario Kart. Other games might have different contents.
