I've got an old thingy, it's a USB hub and USB stick in one.
It's got two USB ports and 32MB of storage. (lol)

I use this hub to connect my mouse and numeric keypad to my laptop. But since I use this my Lenovo Thinkpad won't boot like normal anymore...
It hangs at the very first screen during booting, the screen where you see the brand of your mobo.

Even if I reboot, or return out of hibernation the problem occurs.
When I remove the USB device, it just continues booting like nothing ever happened.

The 32MB is formatted, I've got XP Pro SP2, dual core, 1GB RAM, 100GB ...

What do you guys think is the problem?

Maybe it is trying to boot from the USB before the Hard drive as the hub has 32mb on it and the PC thinks it is a USB drive . The Boot order will be in the BIOS. Change it so the HDD is before USB in the Boot order.

could also be a very old usb 1.1 or even lower 1.0 and conflicting with the latest 2.0 ports and drivers ..

but as above could be wanting to try boot from usb and then just hanging!
