Problem installing cfw on psp 3003 6.61

Hi, i have a psp, model 3003 on 6.61, everything original, no cfw was previously installed. Only thing changed is a battery because the original one has leaked and i had to buy a new one.
Tried to install a cfw for the first time, followed every possible guide there is and I still have a problem i don't see in any other thread which is that the cfw install files are detected but instead of their usual logo shown there is some weird pixels and after trying to launch it, after the white psp logo shows it goes back to the main menu. I placed the files to a memory card through an adapter because the psp usb port seems to be broken (when i plug the cable it connects and disconnects continuously but when i plug the adapter with the same cable its all perfect). Is it a console problem or a memory card one? I literally have no clue what is the problem and i tried everything.

I'm wondering if the CFW is flawed. Wait.. You also said files placed on a mem card [possible prob 2], and then said through an Adapter [possible prob 3], then you said USB port may be broken [possible prob 4] Wow. Why couldn't you put the mem card into it's proper Slot [possible prob 5]? So you have 5 probabilities to investigate.

I tried about 10 cfw files from different sources so problem with bad files shouldn't be it, the adapter works fine as well, usb port on a console may be broken as i said but i didnt need it to transfer files as i have an adapter, there is only one slot on the adapter that fits the memory card i have and there is no problem with it, im thinking memory card but at the same time all umd saves worked perfectly every time, never had an issue. basically everything can be an issue but nothing looks like it

I've seen it and tried it already, the problem is that all these files show up but are corrupted in some way, it doesnt say corrupted data, the files have proper names but some weird pixelated icons and after launching them its just white psp screen and it either shuts off or goes back to the menu

Have you tried doing a "factory reset" of the device? And then starting the hacking procedure again from scratch.

Also, have you tried a different memory storage?

i bought a new card reader, new memory thats not official sony one and new cable and problem got solved, hours of frustration gone.

So it was the card reader giving you this problem. Still weird if it recognized the file.

the card reader was fine, its was something with memory, which is weird because all the umd saves worked perfectly.

yeah, if anyone ever has problem where files are shown but corrupt themselves and dont work properly, insta buy new memory and new cable probably. it will fix your problem.
