I could see that being pretty good if done right, where you have to change between land, sea, and air (space) modes throughout the race. We've had a Kirby racing game so I say why not, but it's extremely unlikely to be real, as you pointed out.

Similar, yeah, but it makes even more sense in the Star Fox universe where different vehicle types are already ingrained in the franchise.

This sounds pretty awesome in its own way too.

First up, Robertson is keen to stress that the game isn't like F-Zero; we're speculating here but it sounds like it's more akin to NGen Racing on the PlayStation, a game from the creator of Wipeout which saw players racing against one another in fighter jets. Gameplay mixes racing with classic Star Fox moments; blasting enemies will give you a speed boost and you can shoot other players, too.

Each Grand Prix consists of three tracks and boss battle, and when you're not racing you can walk around a hub area and interact with famous faces from the Star Fox series (Robertson has heard that Retro is even considering introducing characters from outside of the franchise, such as Donkey Kong). The hub also offers up new story elements and races.

There have been persistent rumors about Retro Studios working on a secret "Star Fox Grand Prix" game. I'm quite sure it exists. Will it be shown in a Nintendo Direct next week? Doubtful.

I wouldn't doubt that there is a direct, at least within the next month. Next week is a little bit iffy tho.

I highly doubt that there would be two smash characters revealed in the same direct after sakurai's statements as well.

oh wow actually im 100% sure this is true now, on the main page there was ANOTHER leak about spyro being ported to the switch, which i think most would consider AAA, and this leak very specifically mentions a leak

part of me feels it is real and part of me feels its fake. idk really, but i hope they do release netflix and youtube soon because best buy did say that. but they arent games i mean they would probably make a short announcement about it and not a big trailer about it, i mean what would nintendo put in a youtube trailer?? logan paul videos or clickbait content lmao

the only part of it that nailed it for me was spyro, this is the second time it leaked, and the leak specifically mentions a leaking coming to the switch, the odds of that are frightening.

Spyro was also leaked on the nintendo store(Can’t remember which region it was though). I would buy Spyro on the switch in a heartbeat.
