the patch is for the main dol or its for the iso? i try to apply to the main.dol but after that the file become 7mb

I'll go ahead and make this easy for everybody place this in the root of your SD card, will it work when placed in the root of the usb drive as well? btw fyi the hex edit works on hermes v5 with FAT so will this since its the same thing

You have to rename the GAMEID to be the 4 or 6 digit game ID, mate. Probably best to just duplicate the file and name one with the US ID, the other with PAL (is the game out in Japan?). And just distribute the files on their own. People can work out where to add it.

And yep it's evident that the patch was known since that time when the pastie with the disassembly posted. Anyway, it was an easy trial and error stuff and I did just for the sake of it...

ps: Btw it's not illegal to share a small snippet of code with a few changes on it...

What's easier for noobs? Extracting a .dol from a .iso, patching that in a hex editor and then working out how to reconstruct the game OR creating a text file that does the exact same thing without having to touch the game?

usb:/apps/wiiflow/codes

That's what my config says and i never changed it or set it before.

If your running yours from sd then replace usb: with sd:

this is for the US version of the game and will work on the PAL version as well but you have to rename the wip file to the PAL game ID would of made one for it 2 but idk the ID

this is for the pirated version of the game and will work on the PAL or US version as well but you have to rename the wip file to the PAL or US game ID

If someone can prove to me that the US game actually has that ID (I'm 99% sure it's fake) then I will remove this post.

Hmm, are you using IOS222/223/224? In Cfg prior to 57b3, the disc check is applied to all Hermes' IOSes still, and it is probably the same for Wiiflow. I have a feeling the wip patch will fail with Hermes' IOSes unless you disable the disc check patch too.

In Cfg, that would be using 57b3 and "disable_dvd_patch=1" in config.txt, but I don't know if Wiiflow can disable it.

Hmm, are you using IOS222/223/224? In Cfg prior to 57b3, the disc check is applied to all Hermes' IOSes still, and it is probably the same for Wiiflow. I have a feeling the patch will fail with 222/223 unless you disable that patch too.

I tried the wip file after renaming it with the PAL ID (I have a PAL Wii) and started normally with Wiiflow without any freezes at all.After some minutes,it froze as I approached a save fountain.

wip file with latest (57b3) cfg loader and cIOSr19base57 = doesn't work
altdol (with "new" main.dol) with latest (57b3) cfg loader and cIOSr19base57 = work

How does the loader handle the wip file? is it just like an "internal" ocarine cheat?
How is it that the altdol method work and not the wip method, maybe there is an "cheat" check also that hasn't been found. Just speculating.
