NOTE: Due to Nintendo being very cheeky, these settings are only applicable in EU/EEA Member countries. NA/JP/AU users will need to change their Nintendo Account region to apply these settings.

This is a somewhat obscure setting in the Nintendo Account website, and its main purpose seems to be akin to usage information sharing in SpotPass back on the 3DS.
As it'd seem, the Share Error Information setting in the Switch's Settings menu only relates to sharing error information with third parties, AKA it's not much of any use as far as hiding from Nintendo goes.

As stated in their Privacy Policy:
The page in question can be found under Other Settings -> Usage information, or here: https://accounts.nintendo.com/analytics/opt_in

In classic Nintendo fashion, both the product and service improvement and ad personalization are checked by default. Just uncheck both of those and click Save changes.
(The GDPR explicitly states that all non-critical operational telemetry must be opt-in rather than opt-out, someone could get smacked in the face for this...)

Whether or not this actually has an impact on the amount of telemetry sent from the console to Nintendo, or simply reduces which purposes it's processed for, is anybody's guess. I couldn't find any information on it whatsoever; only a thorough packet capture and comparison with other packet captures can say for sure. I'd imagine this is good to know even just for the privacy-conscious, nonetheless.

Nintendo: Calles it opt_in (accounts.nintendo.com/analytics/opt_in) and provides a opt-out on said site...
    Thanks for the link.

I was responding to his inquiry regarding the Share Error Information setting only applying to third party analytics, the thread itself has nothing to do with that setting. Please read the OP.

Strange. Can you see this menu?
    upload_2018-6-24_14-5-10.png

The option you want to go into is Other settings. the usage information sharing controlrs should be there.

I'm having the same issue as revamp. The only options I'm seeing there is Friend Suggestions, which is disabled, Promotional Emails, and Services authorized to access this account's information.

Perhaps it's a regional thing? I'm in North America.

That's entirely possible, come to think of it.
It's entirely too likely that Nintendo added the option for European Union users to opt out of telemetry due to the GDPR and they decided to not bother giving NA users the option.
If you don't have any balance on your eShop account or don't care about it, you could try changing your account's region to somewhere like the UK, and that might enable the option to disable usage reporting.

Is dit possible that this option isn't available on 3.0.1 fw?(i'm not talking about the account one, that i'm going to do it right now) i mean the one in system options, i've seen guides and images on how to disable error logging, but i don't have theat option.
