Hardware Power is off, dvd drive light is on

Hi there. I'm sure this is a simple question and I'm sorry for asking it, but lately when I turn my Wii off all the lights go off, but then shortly afterward the dvd drive light comes back on? Could someone tell me what this means? My brother-in-law installed a wiikey in it a few months ago and I want to make sure it isn't taking a shit. Thanks in advance.

Hmm, usually it only goes on when there is a message you haven't read yet (an email from either Nintendo or any other source sent to your Wii). Try checking your Wii's emails

if this was my old world of warcraft days, id tell you theres probily an error with your electricle socket, and you should try and clean it out with a fork.
