You know, the graphics have been sort of a turnoff for me with this game. I DID try a version of it ages ago though, which led to my conclusion of not caring for it. But in light of the sweeping changes he has made to the engine, I think I'm gonna give it another go.....see if it can hold my interest.

I loved Castle of the Winds back in the day, still have yet to try this one. Might do so later.

Same. I tried playing this game but the graphics just put me off. They should try improving the graphics in one of their updates.

I don't care for the graphics at all on this game, it's all about the gameplay.
I looks simple, but it's hard. And that is a good thing IMHO.
I'm more into Nethack opposed to POWDER, too bad this is the one that gets updated this often though.

It's a dungeon crawler. It's not supposed to have good graphics!

Have you seen the purely ASCII based ones?

I meant decent ones like Shiren on the SNES. It's only my taste >.>; Text doesn't seem to activate my imagination.

Shiren DS is pretty tidy I've only put an hour or so into it but will definatley play more in the future. Also got LoneWolf on my card which is like a blast from the past, great homebrews.

No ASCII rogue-likes = no modern RPGs

This stuff is pure, 100%, solid WIN.

Rather than start a new thread I thought Id add to this one. Any chance of a Wii port sometime in the future, the sourcecode is advailable and its compiling for various systems.

Anyone want to give it a go? I loved Rogue on my Amiga, now i want a roguelike on my Wii and this looks port able for those in the know.
