Apparently, the Cyclo's GUI is very nice and simple and can be entirely touch-screen controlled. The m3 real's is much more complex. Not sure which you like more, but I like the Cyclo's more, so that's what I recommend. Both of these carts are good for your other criteria. For more info about the GUI's, check the GBAtemp reviews.

Great, thank you. I only have one question left. I've read that you cant input your own codes with the Cyclo. Is that correct?

Howdy folks.

I kindly donated my r4 to my sis over christmas as I wanted SDHC support.

I recently ordered an M3 Real from DealXtreme, which is indefinitely delayed. Got bored waiting so ordered a CycloDS. Cyclo arrived today.

Should I cancel the M3 and just use the Cyclo, or maybe wait it out for the M3 and keep as a backup/alternative (since it was fairly cheap anyway)? Any thoughts?

So many today! Sorry I wasn't here earlier, just got home. Anyways:
I was about to start my own thread until I spotted this one. I've currently got an Ewin2 and the rarity of updates is making me think it's time upgrade.

Use?
just games and nothing else
Price Range?
cheaper the better but I'm willing to pay more for reliability and high compatibility
Slot 1/2?
either, as long is it fits flush with the DS
Built in or expandable memory?
expandable, built in is a bonus if it's got it
GBA compatibility?
don't care
Special features?
SDHC preferably, good support and regular updates as I don't want to be shopping for a replacement anytime soon. Being simple to use would be nice too.
DSTT is the best fitting for you, cheap, SDHC support, not sure about updates since this is a fairly new cart, but for just games it should be fine.

Thanks for the reply. Done a search on the DSTT and this thread http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/2/599711 seems to have a lot of users having problems with hangs and stuff. Are these problems common or fixed?

Hey guys.
Just thought i'd let you know, the DSTT that i ordered from http://buyr4ds.co.uk/ arrived today.
I'm currently putting some roms onto the MicroSD.
It arrived a day after i ordered it, and they replied to my e-mails within half an hour.
I recommend them to anyone in the UK.

On the other hand, still waiting for my CycloDS from http://modchip-store.co.uk/

Lets hope it arrives soon!

I have a sort of related question. It's not really about which slot-1 flashcart I should get, but rather, is it worth it for me to upgrade to a slot-1 cart if my slot-2 cart is still working just fine?

I've had a SCLite for over a year now and all NDS games work great. I use it for some homebrew every now and then, and recently I've started to try out some emulators (I've tried Snemulds and want to try jenesisds) These are pretty much the only things I'll use any flashcart for.

The main thing that's really getting annoying with the SCLite is the rom patching. It seems that 50% of the time my first patching attempt on some game doesn't work right and I have to repatch it, sometimes requiring multiple tries. Not a huge deal, but still annoying. So clean rom support is a clear benefit of the slot-1 carts, but not enough by itself to warrant getting a new one. SDHC is another plus, but space isn't really an issue right now for me, so I probably wouldn't benefit from SDHC until much later.

However, based on what I would use it for, is there any other benefit I would gain from a slot-1? Is homebrew compatibility any better on them? Would the emulators run any better or faster? Are there many more things I could do by running both a slot-1 and slot-2 together?

If I were to get a slot-1 I've already narrowed it down to either a CycloDS or a Supercard DS One, since they seem to be the best quality overall and have had good support. But again, I just wonder if it's really worth it for me at this point or not.

Just a quick question. Which is better, Supercard ds one SDHC, or CycloDS?

I can finally afford both, but I don't know which to take. I know Cyclo has better support and more features, but I prefer Supercard's menu, and it's cheaper.

Thank you!

I dunno. It's a nearly endless debate, but I eventually just went with the CycloDS. I have been very satisfied. I can't compare it to anything else, so my opinion is useless as a "which is better" opinion-- but although the menu has its quirks (weird lack of touch sensitivity at times, too!) ultimately I'm not buying a cart for its menu. I'm buying it for how well it runs software.

And so far, so good.

I'm still not used to the battery consumption vs. commercial carts, but that's not something specific to the Cyclo.

Cyclo's have been known to sometimes stop working after a while, but then you can just send it back to Team Cyclops, who have been known to have great customer service, and they will send a replacement. Plus, I think the new batch of Cyclo's don't malfunction much, so I would cancel the M3, unless you can find some other use for it.

Cyclo+EZV 3-in-1 should work well for you. however, then you have to get a microSD card, but those are cheap and easy to find on the net. The only cart with built-in memory AND microSD slot is the AKRPG. However, that is very expen$ive, about $80 I think and that doesn't include a GBA cart.

I wouldn't know much about this as I've never had a slot-2, anyone else can help?

DSTT is the cheapest that fulfills those criterion. It's a good cart with solid features, although the new kid on the block. However, if you want more features such as real time save, get the Cyclo.

Use? Games :3
Price Range? Shrug, no more than 100$
Slot 1/2? Huh? Slot 1, right? Where DS games usually go in. I have DS-X
Built in or expandable memory? Huh?
GBA compatibility? Shrug, don't care.
Special features? Huh?
Any flashcarts you are looking at in particular I'm looking at R4 or Cyclo :3

Not sure which is better nor which I would want. I like my DS-X, but it's so shitty and really aggravating.
Simplicity and room to hold more games is what I want :3

Could you tell me the problems of both?

or do you know a better Flashcart?

edit: Oh, I have no idea anything CycloDS can do extra .___.;; Real-time save? What?
I don't understand much about the flashcart world~

If you just want a flashkart to play games, and nothing else, go with DSTT/TTDS. It's the cheapest flashkart around, with SDHC (Which means you can have a micro sd card that's over 2 gigabytes), 100% game compatibility, almost perfect, or maybe it is, download play, and only takes 1-3 seconds loading a game.

I bought the DSCyclo yesterday since I thought I might as well get other shit for a good price.

What else can it do? Will it have room for Mp3s and lots of games or something? Is it complicated?
