Yes
Usb 2.0 and 3.0 capability

I have 3 other WD HDD's that don't work with Dios Mios, so be careful which kind you buy. I had a friend buy one that looked EXACTLY the same, but it was a year newer and did not work.

I think that its possible that older drives have less compatibility issues than the new ones.
Western digital
250 GB
WD2500B007-RNN
External power
Its bigger than a lot of external harddrives with cool red neon style light strips on the side
usb 2.0 i think.
It works great with all the usb loaders i have tried and it works with nintendont. I tried it with dios mios but i think i had configured it wrong.

Works with Wii games. Works with Dios-Mios 2.11. Works with homebrew.
haven't tried nintendont. haven't tried devolution and will not try. using dios mios booter works only sometimes, usbloadergx working every time. did not try cfgloader but will if requested.

-USB 3.0

It works perfectly to backup and play Wii games but whenever I try to run Game Cube ISOs, DIOS MIOS doesn't load and the screen remains black. I tried with a common Kingston 4GB USB and that worked perfectly for GC games.

TWO NOT WORKING
Toshiba
698GB (advertised as 750GB)
Model name? Unsure.
v63700-B
USB powered
Stand alone HD
[Generic black box design]
- Is it working for you with Dios-Mios? <-- NOPE. Black screen/no Dios Mios logo. I've got it working with other drives, so its not user error either.
3.0 (2.0 compatible)

Lexar
16GB
JumpDrive
LJDS50-16GB (there is also an 8GB & 32GB model)
USB powered
Flash drive
- Is it working for you with Dios-Mios? <-- No. I haven't tried it as much, but 6 attempts with 6 different ISO's all failed. Also Black screen/no Dios Mios logo.
2.0

AND A WORKING ONE
SanDisk
8GB, 16GB both work, also 32GB and 64GB models which I can only assume will work too.
Cruzer Switch
SDCZ52-008/016
USB powered
Flash drive
Is it working for you with Dios-Mios? Sure is.
2.0
This is a super-common model in Australia, you see them all the time and they're fairly cheap. If you wanna save some money and only have a few ISO's you want to boot you could grab one of these instead of a Ext. HDD

I actually just purchased this HDD:

O6nlYhh.png

I had similar issues that you described. When I partitioned the HDD, it defaulted to 64 bit clusters for FAT32. DIOS-MIOS wants 32 bit clusters for better compatibility. I went back and reformatted it to 32 bit clusters and now DIOS-MIOS works perfectly fine. Haven't had a single problem yet, and I'm in the middle of playing Kirby Air Ride

hello i found your drive (WD MyPassport Ultra) in a store,the 1Tb version;
i wish i could get the "non ultra" version since it has been confirmed to work by many people but there is only the "ultra"(cloud compatible etc..) in my town stores.

According to you bridabom73 issue was just a problem of missattention..as you said the partion process automic set the fat32 partition cluster to 64k and you just have to format with 32k and everything will be fine.
Can you confirm it please? i know that it's been a while since you posted about it but it is important for me to know before purchasing the hdd.

HDD works perfectly booting WBFS games.

thanx for your report , maybe you should precise some little things

Diosmios LITE is a PATCH for load backup from the SD card not the usb port i think .
And Dios Mios is just a patch (the one to load backup from usb port) it doesn't display any game but loaders do, Gamecube backup could only been listed by a loader an launched from those loaders.
Loaders such as Usbloader Gx, Wiiflow, CFG Loader or Diosmois BOOTER (different from diosmios and dios mios lite).

So when you write that GC game of your HDD are listed IN dios mios lite but don't boot, what is really going on?

Nevertheless if your installations are good, nintendon't will probabily helps.

Got some more that work perfectly!!

Sandisk Cruzer Glide 128GB USB Stick
Works perfectly for Dios Mios (currently using 2.11) and USB Loader GX (currently on newest version)

Also Western Digital 1TB Elements (USB 3.0) also working perfectly for both things.
