Is there a homebrew that would allow me to backup save games every hour to sd card automatically?

I know we can export them manually using JKSV but I am looking for a way to automate this

I don't believe it's been done. It would have to be a sysmodule to keep working in the background.

Hourly timer might not be the best way, as it could trigger during gameplay and cause lag or other issues, especially if it happened to coincide with when the game was saving. I don't know how easily a sysmodule could detect when a game is closed, but that would be a good time to back up the save for that game, which would be quicker and less potentially problematic than backing up saves for every game each time.

I had a prototype sysmodule that would detect when you closed a game and would back the save automatically but with everything I had/have going on, it never got past prototype. It worked though.

Oh that would be awesome!

No rush though.

Maybe one day

Considering it's 2024 already the one thing I'd like to see if a Minetest port. Even if it were the "client" only and the world had to be run somewhere else (online or in local network) it'd already be a plus. Alternatively, I don't think I've heard of anyone building something off Micropolis (the original source code for Sim City) for the Switch, neither.

Other than that I'm not too sure about what would I like to see next. We have a save manager, a media center, a media player, and emulators. Probably something like an IPTV player, at best?

Could it be possible to create an homebrew app for Plex? Would be amazing.
Dunno if it is similar enough but could something be done with (or via) the new Jellyfin client for the Switch?

[Topic: Use any Type-C Headphone/Earphones on Nintendo Switch]

Good day Everyone,

I have these earphones that came with my Samsung phone (see the attached image).

I have tried to use them on my Nintendo Switch Lite, ...I'm able to increase and decrease my Nintendo Switch lite's volume, but the sound doesn't come out from my connected Type-C Earphones by AKG.

Is there any Homebrew, CFW plugin or CFW update that once installed allow us to use Type-C headphones?
I mean, a package that can be used to update our Nintendo Switch and start detecting Type-C headphones.

Best Regards

Not sure if anyone asked this already before awhile ago but a standalone version of Neko Project II emulator (and yes while there is a Retroarch Core version of it, it's very far from being the best way to play 'em and having to switch discs is a little very tedious given how the quick menu is made)

Thanks for creating this thread, Quantumcat! It’s a great idea to have a space for homebrew ideas and suggestions. I’d love to contribute my thoughts and see what others have in mind as well. One idea I have is a homebrew application that enhances the user interface of the Switch, allowing for more customization options. Looking forward to seeing what everyone else shares!

The scene is pretty much stagnant without an easy entrypoint so don't expect anything

I think it would be revolutionary if there was a mod that allowed you to swipe the right edge of the screen like the ultrahand overlay and call up the original overlay that appears when you press and hold the home button.
