Hi, can the required FW version be spoofed and the save type be changed for a rom? If yes, then can some more recent games be used on 4.x CFW? Thanks.

IIRC the only way to play a higher encrypted game is to install a clean signed cia from cfw to the system nand and then with rx tools and a linked emunand you should be able to boot the cia file in rxtools emunand 9.6.
I would recommend a dual boot to avoid constantly swapping out the sd card
Thought this is how Gateway supported newer games before it gained 7.x and 9.x support? Wondering why no one else has brought this up or tried...
