Gaming Possible to play Wii ISOs without modding the Wii itself?

I was wondering if it was possible to just burn the game on to a DVD-R and play it on an unmodified Wii.

I know about the piracy protection, but is there anything I could do to the DVD/ISO (patch it or something) to allow it to work on my Wii?

I have not updated my Wii at all yet if that helps.

I don't want to have to open the thing up, or do something to it that could corrupt the Wii in a future update (in a way that's irreversible).

I'm not expert on it all, but I know you won't have to take apart your Wii (for soft modding), and with any modern methods, you will have backups of your system memory as a failsafe if anything ever goes wrong.

It's basiclly a Wii that's been tampered with to the point where it messes up (crashes, black screen, etc.) or can't run properly.

Hacking the wii is very simple and very risk free anymore....only a couple steps

1. install hbc
2. install bootmii / preloader and dvdx if you want
3. install cios38 rev14
4. install hermes cios 222/223

done.

but each step can cause complications, such as installing hbc. depending on your ios's you may need to do the old downgrade ios 15, patch ios 36, and then reinstall 15. so its possible you can still encounter troubles, but if you read a guide, like xzxero's simple mod, you will do it in less than 1/2 hour.

You can have a semi-brick (which you can recover with bootmii ser on boot2 or preloader)
Or you can have a full brick, which you can't do anything about it.

and cant you fix full bricks with bootmii as boot2 idk coz i have bootmii IOS

Easiest way is probably Launch the hackmii installer with bannerbomb and install homebrew channel
then install Cios Rev 15 or another one, And then launch a usb loader.

Many times, you need to use the Trucha bug restorer first
