Hacking Possible to install DS games on 3DS with cfw?

Have there appeared any options to play (old) DS games for the 3DS without purchasing a flashcart?

I'm on rxtools 11.0 just in case.

First, replace your rxtools with luma3ds a9lh.
Second, use a ds mode flashcard such as r4i sdhc 2016 or a r4i-gold 3ds to run Ds ROMs/backups.
There's no viable way to run ds ROMs as of now without one although there is a super wip emulator in development(don't even consider it, just buy a flashcard, they are $6, the emulator is awful in terms of speed)

Due to how DS games and DSiWare actually work. Download play demos from DS games can be ripped and installed as a .cia though.

There's a lot of technical reasons why it can't work and it mostly just boils down to, they just can't.
Now, there is a DS emulator on the New 3DS here

But it's not very good and kind of shows why it's not possible to really make a DS emulator on the 3DS.

Your best bet is to get a flashcart, my suggest is the R4i Gold and I suggest this one

Shantae - Risky's Revenge DSIWARE is 16MB. It's the largest dsiware. if we learn to inject DS games they can't be any larger than that.
