Hacking Possible to hack a wiispeak to make it work on a PC?

I tried asking this on the devices board but no replies, so I might as well ask here too. Can it be possible to alter (or hack) the Wii Speak microphone to make it work on a PC? I know the mic has a USB port so I'm just wondering. Any help appreciated.

Wow, those 5 posts were really trolly.

But from my experience. (Just 5 minutes ago)

If you plug in the Wiispeak to your PC. The driver comes up as "Wii Party-Mic"

Then it asks you to install a driver, and if you select install automatically, it just keeps searching forever.

So I don't think it works with PC's as of now.

I'm sure they'll be a driver hack soon.

Haven't find a driver yet.

I had created the Windows 7 icons (for Devices and Printers) to be included if some hacker makes the driver for Windows.

Just drop this file into

%PROGRAMDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\DeviceMetadataStore\en-us

(if you Windows is in English), plug the WiiSpeak and check the icon at "Devices and Printers"

Wii Speak - RVL029 has the following hardware id.

USB\VID_057E&PID_0308&REV_0214
USB\VID_057E&PID_0308

there is *a* way

open the wiispeak box, solder 2 wires to the gnd & red wire coming from the mic, connect a regular 3,5" audio jack on en end of the wires, plug that in the pc and done.

from personal experience i can tell you the wiispeak has a great microphone


...its sadly just crap on the wii...

Because there is no driver for it, and the wii speak was never made for the pc. So someone would need to make a new custom driver for it, which is hacking.
