Would it possible to port wii u titles using the SDK that was leaked? I guess if it was possible, many people would I guess be happy and play their switch more until newer games out.

No. The leaked SDK from March 2018 does not contain more than 1.5gb out of over 12gb. It is completely useless for most use cases.

On top of that: We do not have the Wii U game sources, so even if we did have the full SDK (megazarf) we would still not be able to do it.

You do realize that in order to port something, even with the SDK leaked, you do need the source code of the software you want to port... right?
And as far as I know, no Nintendo game has been open sourced.

Ok can't you recreate the game in a different form without needing the source code, like writing it like a homebrew application or something?

The games are compiled for a PowerPC architecture, you can't simply make a mod to translate everything to ARM, nor can you write homebrew that magically adapts every line of code work in Horizon and Switch.

The only way you could "run" a game without its source is to write a emulator, but you can imagine how terrible Wii U emulation would be on Switch...

Sure, it's "possible" but is it feasible? Hell No, know one is going to spend years and years reprogramming an IP that's owned by a mega company just to have a CD letter sent to them, just so some children can have the joy of playing a game on it's unintended system.

Even with a games source code it's a huge undertaking and risk, without it forget it.

OK lets say time travels would be possible and we can do something in the past without affecting the future, could we stop people asking crazy questions?

Makes sense that it should be no big deal, the switch is a Nintendo console the wiiu was a Nintendo as well. The only problem is that the switch doesn't have a disk drive id assume it would work otherwise.

Yea definitely, first thing to start off is changing the file extension from whatever wiiu is to either xci or nsp then start chugging the rest out. But you can't burn disk so idk.

People have no clue about anything, this is crazy...

It is a well known fact that ALL nintendo games are open source and available on github to be ported anytime to any platform by anyone, royalty free... This is exactly how they stayed in business for so long. I guess the original clown saw "SDK" and believed that David Copperfield's tricks could become reality...

As others are pointing out you'll need the source code. You could try to reverse engineer the games if you have the programming skills, or you could just rebuild the game from scratch but use game assets (so all of the games code would need to be rewritten).
