Not long after Tales of Xillia's Japanese release, it seems eager fans have already shed some hope into the possibility of this awesome game getting localized.

Aeana from Twitter posted in some Tweets (1, 2, 3) the following message:

"Poked around in Xillia‘s files. Found something interesting: all of the game’s text is in files named *.SDBJPN. Every string has a constant identifier, such as STR_BTL_TUT_CHAIN_ALVIN. The interesting thing is that there are other SDB files: SDBENG, SDBFRA, SDBITA, etc… all have the same identifiers associated with empty strings. So the game seems to be localization-ready."

From what Aeana found, it seems that the game is actually localization ready, containing some file containers for English, French and Italian.

Of course, let's not jump to conclusions just yet. A solid statement from Namdai is what we need right now. For now, let's just hope that this little discovery is indeed pointing to the right direction.[/p]

What is this on?? Japanese games always have English in-game texts at some point, but the news also mentions French and Italian. So I'm kinda unsure of what to think about this

Off-topic:- Paarish & Frozen have different Avatars from one another, I'm in a state of shock

You've got it wrong.

All of the games text are in .SDBJPN files but there are files (.SDBENG, .SDBFRA, .SDBITA) ready and waiting to be localized so if it's a Europe release and there is a language option, pick English and the text would read from .SDBENG, pick French and it would read from .SDBFRA, etc.

Unless I've got this wrong but it's what I've gathered from the OP.

Well I guess you are right, my knowledge lacks in this department of weird file names of ROMs/ISOs. So I only posted what I thought was the case xD

so it could come to america still? or a patch can be added at least
Patch is highly unlikely, namco is not that considerate >_>;
However: all this really means is that if they want to localize it, and being the current sales of xillia they might, it will be easier to implement...

Though if Tales of Graces F is any indicator, expect this to come out late 2012

    One of the sites that weren't blocked on the school's network was some file uploading sites. I would upload some games, write down the URL and take it to school one day.

    It was easy to bypass some of the restrictions, as one of the admins left a registry key in the administrative shares drive, which allowed me to get around the blocking of some sites.
