Popular restaurant chain IHOP announces name change, internet freaks out

A few days ago, the Twitter page for the International House of Pancakes (AKA IHOP) Tweeted a teaser for what could be the stupidest name change in history. They're changing the iconic restaurant name to IHOb.

We were given almost no information as to what the b could mean, and it's driving the internet insane, with pancake fans everywhere taking to Twitter to express their disappointment and confusion with the name change.

As for what the b could mean, most think the b could be Breakfast, which would make sense, considering IHOP's menu contains a wide variety of breakfast items. Some think it could mean Burgers, with rumors that IHOP is preparing to debut a new line of burgers. However, this is purely speculation, with little to no official confirmation as of yet.
Amidst all this speculation, there was concern that IHOP was going to stop offering pancakes, but the restaurant chain quickly refuted that theory, affirming that pancakes are here to stay.

The name of a brand is one of the biggest parts of it's identity. If an iconic brand is changing it's name, of course people are going to freak out, and there's nothing we can do to stop that.
