Why can't people just deal with the fact, that SX OS is the best, most comfortable CFW for the Switch? I mean, it's not even close. What's in it for you? Why even argue? Just use your fiddle-widdle CFW and be happy, if you can't afford SX OS. Are you also yelling at every Porsche driver, if you see one while walking outside?

I agree that SXOS is better for less technical end users, but if you want to write homebrew Atmosphere has far better debugging tools. With SXOS all you have is the error screen where as Atmos dumps the memory and cpu registers. SXOS also has outdated mitm services which makes Emuiibo and that one controller homebrew impossible. SXOS can't even load applets from album mode which is why SX Save manager has to be installed as an NSP (the base title also needs some HTML stuff which AMS overrides but SXOS doesn't). That said I'm currently running SXOS out of laziness. Going to Switch to AMS during the summer when I have time to start making homebrew again.

thing is i use like i said both (my switch is 11.0.1 and i have to use ams).....i can move on and dont care ......only prob is i get insulted for my opinion......if SX releases an update i would use that again.....i never said SX is bad....never said AMS is superior but Mikefor20 acts like i insulted SX badly ....i never did such....i only asked/said who tf needs a 5TB ssd with 600 games if ppl wont even play 10 percent of that.......and for that shit he calls me Atmoron.......and i dont need that...anyways ill ignore his blatant insulting shit....wont waste anymore time with that.....People should like what they want its ok.

I have 2 switches so it doesn't matter if SXOS never updates the firmware again. For people who want to jump ship I totally understand.

Imagine being so deeply brainwashed, believing that a closed source "premium" pay4piracy "product" with as little as one questionable feature (which most atmosphere users certainly don't even want in the first place) is superior to an open source homebrew cfw.
Not only that, but imagine defending this "product" so vigorously that your in visible pain, each time there's any justified critic brought up against.
And to even top this, the butthurt fanboys have absolutely zero gain from lashing out against open and honest critic against their holy "product".

Dude, if you wanna discuss how sx is "better" don't come with that lousy excuse of "but usb xci loading". Anyone with more than 20 titles installed should really question if they just want to hold as much games as possible or actually want to play any of them.
The modchips, I'll give you that. Yet it doesn't really care for most atmosphere users because they are (same as the "god-level-xci loading") just for piracy.

Been a user of SX OS since i got my switch (Specifically for the Payload injection)
Since SX OS has gone i moved over to Atmosphere, i dont know any difference.

I still use SXOS Payload i just select Custom Payload for Atmosphere instead of booting SX OS.

Other than that, same tools, same mods. just a different HBMenu.
I actually am starting to like Atmosphere more since i got Telsa overlay working

Of course it's a benefit. Doesn't work exactly the way you want? Change it! Original authors haven't updated it in a while? Someone else will! Curious how something works? Learn from it! If that's not a benefit, then neither is the feature that you've just been writing ten pages about.

Its a feature. The benifit is that you can change it. Features are what it is. Benefits are what it does. Advantage is what it means to you.

Feature: open source.
Benefit:you can view and change code.
Advantage: you can make the code function to your liking.

Sales 101. If you're going to blow Sunshine up my ass and try to sell me something, at least do it right. For the average end-user open source means jack all. If you can't code it means jack schitt. USB loading on the other hand is useful to anyone with half a brain.

SXOS has usb loading and XCI loading without install. Atmo does not. I used Tesla overlays all the time on SX OS by the way. They work on both CFW

Well just incase this sxos thread gets locked... again I will wait/don't update my sxos switch since it still holds valuable needs even if the support of new games stop. This is coming from someone who is currently in the PS4 scene its literally the same situation to those who refuse to update from 5.05 and have to rely on back-porting new games.

They always get locked. They call me names and they gang up on me and nothing happens. I call bullshit and tell them they're morons i get banned.

Good for you for waiting. Good youre not a sheepole. And did you notice how the poll has a wait and not update option? Which is essentially a SXOS vote. If you consider that then SX OS is winning. I love how they fracture the vote to make atmosphere look better

I'm a SX OS user, but have switched/ using both now. I must admit I do like both. I wouldn't say one is better than the other, they both just work. To each they own on what they prefer. It's like saying Apple is better than Android, or Nvidia is better than AMD. They are both good. I use the XCI mounting with SX when in docked mode at home, with a 512Gb External HD, but use Atmos with a 256gb SD card when on the go. No reason to argue about it though guys, sounds like some here need to go into politics, because they just like to argue and bash. That's been my Springer moment. Remember folks. Well you obviously haven't been around long enough to know. There is a tendency to Lynch SX OS users on this board. It's always the same guys. It's always the same thing. If you look at all the pro SX OS threads they get shut down every time. Anytime anybody says they like SX OS they get called a fanboy and a bunch of sjws come out of nowhere and try to berate them until they switch. One of the exact quotes was "I am going to do whatever it takes to get people to stop using that software. Any SX OS thread that comes up I will make sure it gets shut down." That user is in this thread as well. For some reason here it is politics. I get tired of the bullshit. They both have their place and I use both as well. I keep saying that. I just hate being lied to and told that I need to use something that I don't. Atmosphere is lacking my favorite feature. And it's a big one to me. I'm not the only one. I just use it to go online on my clean emunand. I don't care what everybody wants to use. I just don't want to be told what I should use. And I noticed a lot of the time newbies ask questions for help and they get the response that they need to switch to atmosphere. It's total crap

They are totally butthurt that SX OS stole code and had bricking code at one point if you tried to crack it. I say BFD. It's like that old Indian proverb where he Pets the rattlesnake everyday and feeds it and one day it bites him. He looks at the snake and says "Why? I've been so good to you?" And the snake says "you knew I was a snake " well I'm sorry you're butt hurt your code got stolen but you knew these were pirates. I think it's so retarded. And the way they shove it down your throat is totally Third Reich. So I stand up for myself whenever they do it. I will not back down because they don't intimidate me and they are flat-out wrong. SX OS is a better option for me for almost everything. I use several OS on my switch anyway.
