I bought a KongFeng GB Boy Colour, just to have one. And besides the god-awful screen aspect ratio, cheap plastic, and shitty screen's sub-pixels being of the triad arrangement... Oh who am I kidding, it's a trash Gameboy clone... But it comes pretty close to mimicking actual hardware, I have to give credit where credit is due.

Erm... Don't you mean software?
I mean... Your post basically says 'this handheld is absolute garbage... It's just like the Gameboy'... But I don't think you mean to say it like that.

On - topic: nope. Haven't gotten myself anything offhand since the tiger handheld in the... Late eighties /early nineties.
(unless you count linux as off-brand gaming system somehow)
