Hacking [Poll] Did you install arm9loaderhax successfully? (Installs After March 19th 2016 ONLY)

I'm having a problem, emunand downgrade is successful, but otphelper says validation failed ;-; I checked the SHA256 and it matched too.

I've had that same issue as well. Apparently OTPHelper can't detect multiple TMDs in the same folder so I did the rest of the guide and even though it froze to a black screen after I rebooted, I hard shutdown the system, pulled out my SD Card and then turned it on without it and low and behold it booted fine. So I reinserted the SD Card and continued the guide as normal and now I have A9LH on my o3DS

I'm struggling with the whole process for two days now. I overcame old SD-Card to new SD-Card relocation and then I managed to extract the OTP despite false positive 2.1 NAND verification. But when I tried to install arm9loaderhax it went seemingly fine I used menuhax for pasta and browserhax for safe a9lh installer. After that it booted into sysNAND and holding L+R (photo buttons) does nothing. Also which is a main problem. No application in HBL works anymore the screen glows red and it boots to HBL again. So I can't restore synand and try again what should I do now?

Make sure you hold L+R before you even press the power button. It happens very quick.

As for HBL keep trying it. I think its a bit buggy with this. I encountered a bug myself where it likes to auto scroll

i've successfully installed arm9loaderhax using the "new" version of the tutorial with safesysupdater. i did it yesterday

I suggested it to him on the irc last night. The guide is great but could use a bit of fine tuning. It misses some of the finer details like that and assumes you know them.

Glad you got it working though! When it's time to do L+R+Y make sure you don't make my mistake and hold zL + zR + Y lol

On a New3ds it just gives you a screen to calibrate your C stick.

I started getting angry at the system since I knew that isn't what was supposed to happen if I held the right buttons lol

Lesson learned user error can lead to unexpected outcomes/discovery

Installed a9lh to a 2DS with no problems. Had to get OOThax for HBL though, fortunately I have a powersaves. I gave up on browserhax after like 100 fails in fw 9.2, which I didn't have a problem with on the last 2DS I put CFW on. I guess some consoles are just finicky about that.

Works fine, I use gateway to streamline the process. Having sysupdater and tinyformat as .3ds make it super easy and otp helper for 2.x fix and the ability to flash emu to sys nand the process only takes me 45 min from 9.3+ to 9.2/10.7 a9hl aurei

How do you do that? Creating all the necessary sysNAND and emuNAND backups is taking far more than an hour (maybe 2) in the whole process. I have a relatively good mSD card which writes with 30MB/s, so there can't be a bottleneck in m configuration.

I do 10+ A week. I prep by having 8gb cards with 1.8/1.2 emunand parts on

I rip nand, inject to emunand on the pc, boot gw and tiny formats through multi menu. Restart and run sysupdater through multi and dg, reboot to hbl, otp helper fix 2.1 then clone. Restart with SD card in and boot web. Dump and revert. unlink nands and install a9hl

The process took me a while due to the fact I never did anything with my N3DS XL. But it all worked out in the end.

Only thing that went wrong was 9.4 -> 9.2 Semi-Bricked my N3DSXL and I had to update to 10.7. After that I stopped using Menuhax altogether and used Ninjhax as my entry point.

So far no complaints xD

I had the same problem but I figured it out - you need to change the payload to 9.2 version

Oh, I was just using whatever was in starter.zip from Part 1 of the guide when I was trying browserhax. Where did you find the 9.2 version?

i have now installed A9loaderhax on another o3ds with the one click setup method.

I installed it successfully on my new and old 3DS yesterday.
Funny thing is otphelper recognized that my O3DS emuNAND is damaged so I had to copy the sysNAND over and start again.
Also sysUpdater didn't install the stubbed promotional video cia correctly, wasn't a problem to install it manually though.

That this kind of precise error prevention is possible is really great, d0k3 did a great job.
I still have a sysNAND dump lying around where roxas75's rxTools build wrote a 0 byte ticket.db to it, a wonder my 3DS still works after desoldering my cartridge slot...

Successfully installed a9lh in 2 o3dses following the guide

Successfully used safea9lh installer again, also I didn't use otp helper since I see it's still technically in development I used that old decrypt9 for 2.1 to restore NAND back to 9.2(I didn't want the error where you can't restore your NAND backup for whatever reason)

Next one I do I'll use otphelper especially if it's new3ds it's basically a must anyways
