I'm intrested in:

Starfox
Zelda U
Xenoblade Chronicles
Devil's Third

MP without classic mode is a total buzz kill. I'm NOT sharing the big stupid cart thing around a tiny track trying to collect star bits. Why would you even try to replace coins with starbits?

No online, I don't mind tbh, I prefer couch multi-player for something like that. Then there is the dumb amiibo support which takes away seemingly 33% of the game which is pure bs.

What is annoying is that I'm still playing fifa 13 on my wiiU. :/ I want a new fifa but ea and ninty don't see eye to eye I guess. But what about Konami? Why don't we get PES?

What the heck is Splatoon?? ...is this another Toad's Treasure Hunt thing??? ...like a quick cash'in game?

You know, from the screenshots it looks like a microtransaction-laden mobile game... :(

It is a bit disappointing, but quality > quantity. And I'm sure there's more they haven't announced yet.

That's in game money and you collect them by playing the game. The game looks fun, I want to try it (but probably won't be buying it at launch), I hope there's a demo that I can try to see if it's worth a launch day purchase.

I disagree (a bit). It depends on the quality of exclusive games. While one can argue that 2014 wasn't a hot (maybe warm) year, you can't however argue that hotness of a year with lets say games like New Zelda, New Metroid, New Star Fox and New F-Zero.

The new Zelda had one preview, the new Star Fox was barely even announced, and there's been no signs or announcements of a new Metroid.

Like if your 2015 line-up is stuff barely shown or, hell, stuff that's not even been announced, then you need to realize that the line-up is shit.

No kidding there, Layton! :) You'd have to have lived under a rock the past few years though to not see the resemblance between the screenshot I posted and any popular mobile game out there, e.g. Jetpack Joyride. In fact, I'm going to say this out loud that Nintendo is stupid for releasing Splatoon on Wii U at all. The game in all its entirety should have microtransactions and iPad/Android releases.

Splatoon at this point looks like a game begging to be on a mobile platform with huge microtransactions potential. Think "Subway Surfers", with simple gameplay that you play swiping with your finger. Nintendo will never make that. Splatoon will bomb hard. It's not going to be a GOTY, it's not the Wii U savior, it's nothing you should be excited about.

It would be nearly impossible to play on a touchscreen.
I'd much rather have it on a console with proper controls and more fleshed out gameplay.

Because you haven't played a mobile game recently to know what you're talking about. I don't need to spell it out, you can do your own research. Games like Infinity Blade don't make headlines for being just pretty. They play very well with touch screen controls. Stop being so anal about having your comfortable "proper controls" because there's literally nothing stopping from a game concept like that of Splatoon to make it over to a touch screen. If that happened, it'd be huge and the microtransactions would flow like a liquid gold fountain.

First of all, Infinity Blade is a boring casual game with crappy controls. It works, but only because it's oversimplified.
Secondly, this is a shooter, something that requires fast paced action, a lot of camera movement and quick aiming, something a touchscreen is just not any good at. I've played the Dead Trigger games and they are really slow paced so they will work better with such controls, but that makes the game rather boring in comparison to a fast paced PC shooter or even a console shooter with analog sticks.

Because fast-paced action can't be done on mobile platforms? Tell that to Rockstar, I mean GTA San Andreas must suck on a touch screen, right? Or Call of Duty: Strike Team?

lol @ using infinity blade as evidence for why splatoon controls would work on a touch screen phone.

splatoon has massive potential. it might not win this generation or next years game of the year but it has the potential to start a franchise for nintendo.

smacking a shitty version on a smartphone just because its interface fits microstransations which equals phone is retarded.

Nintendo did release some baseball game I think it was? Now that could have been on smartphones.

Splatoon without microtransactions is stupid. You know it. I hate microtransactions, but you and I both know microtransactions suck money out of people very effectively and for a game like Splatoon makes perfect sense.

no. it ruins credibility for a big company like nintendo and will lose them a fanbase.

short term money = yes
long term = no

I don't see how it could tbh. It's hard to control the camera with the accuracy needed. I don't want a dumbed down casual game.
