They couldn't do that, as turn-based combat wouldn't work in a real-time online multiplayer enviroment ...

'Cause its easy for the average user to play, and, without lag issues, would play out quickly anyhow.

I have no idea I hate them, perosnally ... but I have tried many, in my attempt to understand the attraction ...


But, I do know one thing for sure about them ... you can't have a turn-based one ...
