and for flygon this and this.
evolutions for pokemons like skarmory would be awesome, skarmory is starting to get trouble as a wall, and some others REALLY needs a boost, like mawile, smeargle, delibird, shuckle(?) and why not miltank, farfetch'd evolution for a flying/fighting anyone??

Does anyone know if it's more than 4 direction movement? In the video at 0:57 the way the character changes direction makes it seem like 4 direction. If it's still like that, I wont get this game. -.-

While I can agree with you, it doesnt seem like that big of a deal to me. Id much rather enjoy the game for what its worth, then pass on it because I cant move a certain direction.
Given the video evidence, I think its safe to assume diagonal direction wont be making an appearance.

Player movement is a very important part of any game for me. We're playing on the 3DS now with an analog stick. We should be able to use that and move in any direction.
It's just not the way this series works. They'd have to change the entire engine to work with octagons or something instead of squares for the grid. It would be weird, okay?

I'll definitely try the game when my cousin gets it, but I doubt adding new Pokemon and new features can get me to even finish the game.

After so many generations of their games, don't you think it's time for a new engine?

Judging not only by the sharp turn of the player, but on the layouts of the map, it all still looks very... how to word it... linear? Idk, it just doesnt show any evidence of 8 directional movement. If you pay attention to the paths and such in the game, they all still run at at L shapes, and the player movement is very straight, much like other Pokemon games. His direction is very defined and doesn't show any evidence of really shifting at all.

As far as the paths go, it's overall just a bit of a pain to walk diagonally for extended periods of time.
