It does seem to me that in all Pokemon games people normally do choose the fire one.

I don't know why that is. I tend to try all three first though before i play a full game.

Well, my first Pokemon game was Pokemon Red. So, naturally, I got Charmander. Ever since then, I've always picked fire (except when I replayed one game, I picked grass). Why? Fire is a cooler element than Water, and grass gets mown over. If there were starters for every type, I would pick Dragon, Darkness, Ghost, or Ice before Fire (depending on what the Pokemon looks like).

Also: foxes>frogs>squirrels.

My favorite types are probably Steel and Ice. I don't really like Grass as a type for some reason, but I'm tired of always picking the fire starter and I kinda like Chespin so I'll go with him.

i've been keeping a ear close to the ground, about this new pokemon game and they have updated alot of things. a new gts new battle systems and everything, it looks nice and it looks like game freak has gotten their stuff together this time around.

I havent been following the X and Y news much.
But can anyone tell me that we dont have yet another Fire/Fighting?

^Nope. We know just about as much as you do on that matter. But I have a feeling that we won't be getting a Fire/Fighting this time round.

People have been saying Fire/psychic, and I don't think that's too much of a stretch.

Fennekin has been shown to use a psychic type move i think.
So it wouldnt be too hard to believe
Of course it could be a like Ninetails, a plain fire type with the ability to use psychic moves
