Squirtle, Totodile, Torchic, Turtwig, Oshawott... I'll pick Chespin since I'm going to get the Torchic, I doubt that I'm going to keep Fletchling on my team as I'll already have a fire-type with me. Then I would have to find another Flying type.

Get 2 of each starter from friend (or rather 2 of the one he/she is not choosing but w/e). Then your extras back. No reset on your part required. And only requires 2 copies of said game. Though it will be a tad tedious........ O_______o

Bulbasaur, Totodile, Torchic, Turtwig, Snivy and maybe Chespin in gen 6 >.< didn't know I used so many grass starters . Not going to use the event Torchic :T I think the Speedboost abillity is a bit cheaty, I might breed a normal one later in the game.

not really, all he has to do is give his friend 5 starters after beating the first gym 5 times. 2 of the starters will be placed in the PC for safe keeping. Then the friend gets the first badge and gives 2 of them back to him.
