I just hope these mega evolutions don't prevent them from introducing new evolutions of old Pokemon in the future. If this happens to Sableye, I would be very mad

Next gen they could easily just say "Okay, we're scrapping Mega evolutions. MegaMewtwo is now Mewthree." or something along those lines.

Charizard may look badass but the true fact is, it has a terrible typing.
Using it in competition other than in the NU is shooting yourself in the foot.
Stealth rock outright kills it. Halving it's health. Stealth rock hitting Charizard is the equivalent of taking a couple divisions of Anti-Aircraft guns and using them to take down a child's paper airplane.

Gyarados has a rather nice ability, good attack stats and a good movepool to back it up. Rock and Electric are both it's weakness though that true, however Gyarados can be a frightening pokémon when it sweeps. Having a 100 sp DEF and attack stat and decent speed, it can easily be a killling machine. Dat Moxie ability.
It isn't a worthy comparison imo.

You are probably right. I havent really nerded out on pokemon for a few years since my last run of Soul Silver. And even then I never really looked up stats like you guys do.

Not really impressed by mega evolutions at the moment. I'll wait until I can see them in action more. For now id rather them just be normal evolutions. .

Other than PC, I always prefer a physical copy. Not too sure why though.

I really hope this will happen as well, I think Nintendo is a bit holding back when it comes to special editions. I think there will be WAY more costumers who will buy a Wii U for example if there's a limited edition Zelda WW HD one. We shall see what happens
