Do you really feel the need to get the 2 versions? Because the only difference are some Pokémon, and nothing else. The games are the same. The 2 versions are to promote trading, a vital element in the game, not to make them worse.

Or you could wait for the inevitable Z version that will have all Gen VI Pokémon in it.

No, I don't feel the need to get the 2 versions, that was the whole purpose of my post. But I'll just drop it for now.

You don't need to buy two copies for it to be good, you just need a friend with the other version. However they're shifting this to the online trading and battling stuff so you can just get the Pokés you miss off the GTS.

Yeah, that's why I'm hoping I'll enjoy this more than the previous games.

Point stands that you would prefer to buy a piracy device instead of a legitimate copy of a game, own the other version or not.

I know you were replying to that guy who wants both the 3DS version and the physical version, but that kind of advice is questionable.

If they designed the game so that people needed to buy two copies each in order for it to be good, then it's not good.

I've always stuck with only one version, even when I had the chance to pirate, and I enjoy it without the need of the second copy. Read your post again, nvm >.<

Just like people were confident that we'd have a third version with B/W came out. Even though Gamefreak even said they wouldn't. And they didn't. And people are saying there's going to be a B/W3, even though we have X and Y, which are confirmed titles with confirmed characters, and even pictures of the boxart.

Actually no.
Country Returns is 17693 blocks and the cart is 32Gbit which is 4GB.
The game is 2.2 GB and the other 1.8 GB are junk files.

And Pokemon is gonna be the same, 32Gbit cartridge while the game partition is 1.7GB.

If Pokemon is 1.7G then won't it be on a 2GB card and not a 4 GB card?

My bad.
I thought its 17000 blocks but its 14000 which is approx 1.7 GB so it will be in a 16Gbit Cartridge aka 2 GB cart.

But both the digital and physical copies have the same content, unless you mean how we know that they will use a 2GB cart, then it's because currently there are 512MB (Not too about this one, though), 1GB, 2GB, 4GB and 8GB. The most logical out of those is the 2GB one since it fits and will be less expensive to make than the 4GB one.

while it does makes sense to use the less expensive one, remember that you dont actually get 2GB out of a dok of 2GB, more like 1.8/9? if it has a little more data inside the cart, like a new firmware for the 3ds (highly likely they will, and if its the new one with the miiverse it will be more than a few Mb) you are already filling up most of the space
