Oh lol, yeah that works actually. Which is why they better not release it digitally. XD

I hate how everyone wants to have everything without making any sacrifice. People just want to edit files so they can keep their Pokes and get more. I miss the old days when we didn't know shit about copying save files.

That's because in the olden days before the gba era... You practically couldn't copy them... As I recall.

But back then, everyone I knew was using ActionReplay/GameShark or whatever..... oh wait

It's sad really. But what can we do.

And it was better that way.

I never thought I'd say this but, fortunately for me, my family wasn't very wealthy at the time and the area I lived in was pretty poor so no one had a Game Shark. We were lucky enough to even get Game Boys. When we traded our starters back in gen 1, it was for real.

lol get a group that keeps resetting the main game and dump a load of starters for yourself onto 1 gameboy and then transfer them back once you have enough for everyone :D

At 9 years old, I don't think the first thing on my mind was I need all 3 starters. The first thing on my mind was, Pokemon, Pokemon, Pokemon :tpi: (Yes I made that face when I got my game)

at 9 is when i got red, and a group of 4 solved that we could get all 3 starters :P
we ended up with a mew and duplicated it also :D

Guess I've found a friend. Woohoo. Though I didn't trade and restart my game. Too much effort for me. And I only had one Gameboy Advance. Which I got pretty late. Like when all the kool kidz don't play no Pokemon no more.

Yeah, Mew. We never got that. It was only from a Nintendo Event or Game Shark right? Good luck finding a Nintendo Event near you in Canada. :(
How did you dupe it?

one of our firneds it the group found someone with it and duped it then the person let him have it and then we just duped it for everyone

it was to do with powering off the pokemon transfer at the exactly right points so someone got it and you didnt loose it

^I think that there was a similar method for cloning in Emerald. Didn't do it cos I was afraid of losing my saves. Yea I grow attached like that.

It was the same case for Gold and Silver. I didn't do it for the same reason.
Actually I tried turning it off while saving once, the only thing that happened was that it gave a message "save file is corrupt. Using previous save data" or something like that and it put me back one save earlier.
