Yesterday, Pokémon writer Takeshi Shudo was rushed to the hospital after suffering a hemorrhage and collapsing at Nara Station. He has since passed away. Shudo was 61 years-old.

Shudo created TV anime Fairy Princess Minky Momo and worked on various anime through the 80s and 90s. He became the chief writer for the original Pokémon television series and went on to write the first three Pocket Monsters feature films.

Hmmm, this is getting scary. Oh well, what will that mean for PKMN future games?
He only worked on the anime, not the game itself.

It's kinda sad he passed away. I never really followed Pokemon when I was young nor do I play the games now, but it sucks for the fans.

61, that's still a tad too young

. In my book, you aren't considered old until you hit 70. Most people probably just think 65 is old because a lot of people don't live that long. Anyway, may he R.I.P .

The first Pokemon season and episodes (Kanto) played a huge part in my childhood. I even got the Pokemon Movie that featured the Unkowns and Entei for Christmas. That was all I ever wanted when I was little.

May he R.I.P.
