Oh, and Ruby/Sapphire didn't drop moves either, for that matter, nor did it have significantly less exploration than the GB/GBC games.
While the data structure was completely revamped (unlike Sword/Shield, which still uses essentially the same data structure as R/S), there weren't any casualties as a result, except for compatibility with older games.

Ruby/Sapphire and Sword/Shield are two completely different events, when it comes to unobtainable Pokemon and moves. The first was incompatible with older games, so one couldn't bring old pals forwards but had all 386 (at the time) in their code; the second is compatible with older games, so if one has the Home and Bank apps they can bring pals forward, but don't have all 809 older Pokemon and all moves in their code, placing an artificial barrier on that transferal of pals.

Same as what I thought on this Shifu or whatever it was called legendary, it doesn't look mythical / legendary, all the legendaries up till now could be distinguished from normal ones since they had that look of a mighty Pokemon. This one here looks like a Fan made one of the final grookey evolution after the first presentation of the starters last year.

Now I really want Zarude to have a battle and the theme to be an orchestral version of Sandstorm.
