Hacking Pokemon Ranch WAD update

I used to use pokemon ranch (WAD)with my pokemon diamond version, but now I've bought a platinum and in order to use it with pokemon ranch I have to update it to the latest version (so it will support platinum), if i just download the pokemon ranch updated wad and install it via WAD manager, will I get it working with the same save I had?(this is important, I already have lots of pokemon!)

It should work. Why should an update break savegame compatibility?

I was just asking just to be sure, because I was a little afraid of losing my pokemon in the ranch xD

tell me if I'm wrong, but how can you update pokemon ranch if there is no upgrade that's for USA yet?
unless of course you are using the japanese version
