Hi there. Not sure if I have posted this the right place, if not i'm sorry for that [IMG]

Well, the issue here is that after 6 hours of Pokemon Platinum i got this message when I turned it on: "The savedata has been erased due to corrupton or damage".

Read on the internet that others had the same problem and the reason for all this was that the nds saved it to 512mb instead of 1mb or more like a pokemon platinum game needs.

So was wandering if there is an solotion to this, so next time I make a save this wont happend again and savedatas can be over 512mb.

Hopefully you understood the issue and what I wrote. [IMG]

Can you specify what R4 you're using, and what firmware?

    It says:

    R4 i

    Revolution for DS
    (NDSI, NDSL, NDS)
    www.r4ultra.com

So i assume it's the ultra one?

I guess all the advice I can really offer is either try and install YS menu instead of the R4i's official firmware, or get a better flashcart.
    R4 clones all suck.

    Depends really.
If you're happy with just 2gb storage on your DS Lite, get an original R4, and install Wood R4 on it.
That's like the only good R4 card out there, everything else is imitations, clones, fakes, and just bad overall, even if they do offer SDHC or DSi support.

If you want that SDHC/DSi support, then get an Acekard 2i, and install AKAIO on it. It'll play most games perfectly.

Finally, there's the Supercard DStwo, it has an integrated 360mhz processor that enables GBA emulation, and more exciting things to come with the SDK coming out. It also has real time gamesaves, game guides and cheats.

Although since you have an R4i I guess you have a DSi/XL, so I would definitely say get an Acekard 2i or a Supercard DStwo from Shoptemp. Their Acekard 2i is just $15, and their DStwo is $35, pretty good prices.

If you order an AK2i, be sure to order "Premium Flashing + Updating Service", that means it'll arrive compatible with DSi 1.4. You don't need to order that for the DStwo.

Platinum does NOT use a 8M save file.
It uses the regular 4M save file.

Whoever says it uses a 8M save file does not know what they're talking about.
