Hey all. I somehow managed to brick my Omega Ruby cart completely after attempting to clone from slot one to slot two w/Powersaves. I didn't notice anything different but I suppose I wasn't paying attention. Now I have a cart that doesn't show up in either PowerSaves or on my 3DS. Is there any way to take the backups I have saved via powersaves onto a new cart? Literally any at all? Or should I just pawn my 3DS?

I don't really have the time to commit to replaying the game and at this point I'm 99.999999% sure there is nothing to be done. While I have a bunch of my things copied into Pokebank, at this point I'm pretty defeated. Thanks for any help.

Sounds like you just have contact issues. Try cleaning them.

I'm not so sure. Pokemon Y shows up perfectly fine on both the 3DS and the Powersave device. I will attempt cleaning with rubbing alcohol and a q-tip, however my finger did not work previously.

Edit; As expected, no fix :/

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.

I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card

Slightly slower loading but a bit more convenient
