I have an R4DS and there is a cheat to get 995 of all items. If I caught a pokemon and attached a masterball or another item to it that I got from the x995 cheat, traded it to my soul silver cartridge, removed the item from the pokemon, and released the pokemon, would the item be detected as a cheat and would tournaments be able to find out that the item was obtained illegally? Thanks

A pokemon might get caught being cheated because someone could notice an error in stats or any of its info, but an item is an item. You can't really change anything about the actual item so no theres no way to show if it was cheated or not.

"Why are all of his pokemon in masterballs?"

While you might get away with it (if it's possible) this is a very underhanded method to use if you intend to join a tournament.

but there is nothing to detect a cheated item obtained in a trade? I only plan on getting a couple masterballs, power weight, power anklet, and macho brace.
