I was using only the first code like I said on my last post and it finally froze. Took a good while, though. I fought way more than 20 random/trainers up on my way to National Park before I got a freeze. Oh, all this on no$gba 2.6a.

It ain't completely fixed, but at least it's not fixing as much as it was, I suppose?

Yes but what if we find the exact hardware (or software) check and trick the game into "thinking" its on a retail cart
and that should fix everything.

That's usually what they do for alot of the things I've ... "needed" ... for the PC and Xbox.

But it's easier said than done when it's all Hex. Stuff just gives me a migraine. Now, if I was still on my Adderall, though ... THEN I could be more helpful and delve through everything. But, too bad.
go buy adderall then

Gotta find a new doc, first.

Wife made the "mistake" of calling the doc the one day because she thought I was having a Schizo moment. Amphetamines are known to cause "amphetamine psychosis" in large doses, and that being that I am already Schizophrenic, ... it all kinda ruined that for me with that doctor.

So, I just gotta get off my ass and find a new one.

I'd just like to report the circumstances in which my (U) Soul Silver is working perfectly in:

Don't know if this matters but the English rom was patched with the arm7 fix from the (J) version, of which had been patched at least five times, at least twice itself having an arm7 injection from an (E) Platinum, as well as Rudolph's patch and Magnius' and Kazo's patches at various points.

Save file from clean (J) about to fight Sabrina in Kanto (far past Whitney and Goldenrod) was swapped in.

And on Acekard2i AKAIO 1.6 RC1

Stress test is at 150 something events and going. Been going in and out of everything in Goldenrod, most of Johto and I'm in Pewter in Kanto, also going in and out of menus, still with no problems.

Sorry if this is irrelevant.

AKAIO 1.6 RC1 has a 100% success rate as far as we know with no patch at all.

Ahh... The thing is... HG/SS (U) is reported to work smoothly for Acekard2i AKAIO 1.6
So yea... I guess that didn't really help? :/

EDIT: Ninja'd

Acekard2i AKAIO 1.6 RC1 firmware might be working with the rom properly

Can anyone give me a confirmation? I don't want it to freeze on me while playing.

Please make sense of this..

In the ARM9 Memory

Intro Screen

------------- 00 01 02 03 04
04000600 00 08 00 86 00
04000600 00 00 00 46 00

Those two keep on switching with each other

Game Start

------------ 00 01 02 03 04
04000600 02 00 00 86 00
04000600 02 00 00 46 00
After leave the house
04000600 02 08 00 86 00
Repeat

Freeze game

-------------- 00 01 02 03 04
04000600 02 00 00 00 00

so from my understanding is that 04000600 86000800 and/or 04000600 46000000 should overwrite the freeze memory dump.
Can someone look into this?

Tried it in various ways, didn't work. Haven't tried his new code yet, but it's already reported to freeze.

Oh, by the way, has anyone tried these yet? From some link someone posted some pages back. Don't know what the outcome was, he was convinced they worked.

I'm too tired to do it myself right now. It's like 2 AM here.

That's what I hear everywhere now, but just in case, saving every here and then, at least until you pass the, say, 4th badge won't harm you.

04000600 06000802 -> this is action replay cheat..
freezes after 1 event

hmm that is weird.. since I can get pass around 15 events now
I think it's just different for emus and flashcarts... hell it's probably different between the flashcarts themselves.

Thanks for trying though!

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.
