ROM Hack Pokemon Green: An Awesome Translation

Okay, back in my younger years, I was at a swap-meet and found this copy of pokemon green. I remember when I played it that it was horribly translated. Worse than Engrish. Now, I want to find a rom of it because the game can, unfortunately, save. Does anyone know where I can find the horribly translated version of it? I found a youtube video, but there is no link to the ROM.

I found a youtube video that mentions a partial (better?) translation patch, but the site it refers to is down.

I think you might be outta luck on finding the patch by itself.

EDIT: Well kiss my grits! Found one. Seems to be that slightly better but still not that great translation I referred to earlier.

The original Green was slightly different from the North American Pokemon games. It's worth a gander I'd say.

Never seen that one before. No doubt it is horribly translated.

You mean the unoffical one? I don't even see that one related to Pokemon in anyway.

Aochide stands for Ookido, which seems to be "Orchid".

At 1:54 MLK is operating a computer.. NES and SNES original japanese versions were called FAMICOM and Super FAMICOM (Family Computer contracted).

I have a copy of the game, and it's exactly the same as this. It is pretty fun to watch the translation, but the gameplay is fine.

You can't ask for roms, or you WILL get banned.

One day, Ash went to Pokemon Forest.
"You need to have more Pokemon," say Pikachu.
So Ash made a buying Pokeballs.
"Is good to make a catching from the Pokeball!" say Ash, and he get the big sack of Pokeballs and throw them around Forest!
Pokemon everywhere try to dodge ball, but all were trapped.
"YAY!" say Ash, "I HAVE A MORE POKEMON!"
But suddenly, Professor Oak jumped out from behind a try.
"I have been making observings of you..." say Oak, "You have too much Pokemon! You shall have to put your Pokemon inside Computer!"
"But of Computer the PokemoN!" ask Ash, make a sadly.
"Of Computer the Pokemon." make a saying Oak.
Ashes Pokemon began to danube into the Computer.
"I make an ownings of all your Pokemon!" shout Computer.
But suddenly, the Computer was full off all the Pokemons!
"NO!" shout Computer, "I AM TOO FULL OF ALL YOUR POKEMOn!"
Suddenly, a virus and Computer explode!
"Of EXPLOSION THE COMPUTER!" scream Ash.
"Oh no." say Oak, "Explosion."
"YOU MADE ME LOSE MY POKEMON!" screaming Ash, and Ash get a gun and a shot Oak.
"NOW I SHALL STEAL ALL YOUR POKEMON!" scream Ash, and Ash to steal of Oaks Pokemon.

You may find this translation in a GoodGB set. You know, each file has every region ROM [(U), (E)...] and a lot of useful and useless hacks and traslations.

Ooh, boy, I have a cartridge of this game. What a hilariously horrendous translation! I actually enjoyed playing through it, to be honest.

I actually recommend giving it a go (or at least the ROM image). After all, it is, in essence, the Green version of Pokemon in English. That means you get all the ugly Pokemon sprites, any exclusive glitches, and all the catch rates of the elusive Green version, in a mildly-discernible form. Very neat from an experimental point of view.

If anyone has a Pokemon text hacking tool that can edit the text of Pokemon Green, I'll change all the text into proper English...

And yes, I've checked Whack a Hack and other various places that distribute downloads of pokemon hacking programs, all of which returned no results.
