So it's basically Noubunga Ambition in the US.

Sweet. I never thought this game would be localized.

Yeah, I had my doubts too.
After watching a gameplay video though the game looked simple and rather fun, too. It definitely deserves an english release.
A big enough franchise like pokémon would do well to release it anyway.

Oh by the way, interesting thing. To commemorate the japanese release, japanese players could download a shiny rayquaza from a mystery gift event.
That same event will probably hit the US too, now. :D

Great thanks Nintendo, now how about the SHIT TON OF OTHER GAMEZ that are jap only; Mother 3, Captain Rainbow, etc etc etc etc
Do you even know how bad Captain Rainbow's sales were in japan alone?
Also, Mother 3 was likely not localized because it came too late in the GBA's life span.

Also, don't count on Tingle's second DS game ever getting localized. That's not even counting the club nintendo Tingle's Balloon Fight, or the DSiWare he had.

i heard the game bombed in japan lol.
Neither, since the storyline is set in Japan.
... what does that have to do with anything?

Nothing set in Japan gets localized. Like TWEWY or Persona.
In Phoenix Wright they change the location from Japan to America, too.
Even though they visit a few locations that are BLATANTLY Japanese.

Also...it bombed in Japan, really? Anyone know some figures? I'd have thought it would do reasonably well.
Of course they would have the sense to see it's an entry to the Nobunaga franchise rather than the pokémon one, even with all of the familiar elements.

Think I read somewhere that it actually got the best first week sales of any Pokemon spin-off on the DS.

Not many Pokemon games don't make it out in the rest, I think the typing one, Trading Card Game 2 (damn shame the first was excellent) and a WiiWare mystery dungeon one never made it out.

ANYWAY...was this any good? Well for someone who likes the main games but thinks the Ranger & Mystery Dungeon ones are exceptionally dull.

My boyfriend played it for a whole week, non-stop. Despite not knowing what was going on, he enjoyed the game that much he didn't care what they were saying
I would assume that would mean it's a good game.

Also, bombed?

A majority of games have not been localised due to it being set in Japan, which is why many people thought that it would not be localised.

He didn't say most don't. He said what does it have to do with anything. And he has a point. Quite a few games have been localized that were set in Japan. Devil Survivor comes to mind. As well as Hakuouki and some others.

Besides, this game has Pokemon. A lot of Pokemon games make it out of Japan.

I don't like the name at all. It's like they're trying to hide the fact that it's a crossover with a Japan only series. And that's not the only time they're doing this:

Fire Emblem
Fortune Street
Rhythm Heaven
