I don't think the catch trainers pokemon is just supposed to let you catch the first pokemon in the match bc that would be retarded and useless. I agree with you it's broken.

First of all, remove any ( ) from the code.
2 you cant use anything that need to have a button pressed like L, R, B , etc
3 you need to reboot emulator to turn cheat on/off so you dont need both codes for ON/OFF
4 item codes didnt work on emulator
5 show me your paste structure

How can I get the shiny cheat to work with starters? Everytime I try to get my starter the game just "freezes" (the pokeballs move, and the music keeps going and I can't do anything else). Is there a way to get 'em without other tools like PKHex ? I'd be glad if somebody answer my question. Thanks in advance~

This is exactly why "walkthrough walls" should never be used lightly
The first time I broke my game with walkthrough walls happened to be in original Diamond and Pearl too

I deleted the item codes for the balls and the 999x items and the max pokedollars bc I have pkhex for that and the codes that turns off those particular cheats. I just have all the cheats I need aio file and delete the ones I don't need or use and always keep the original in the original extracted folder.

I figured it out the first try. You have to walk straight up from the dock and within 3 minutes of running you will reach Fullmoon Island. Then, after you activate the Cresselia event and you have Darkrai Haiku event set to one in flags AND have the Member's Pass, you can go up to the Darkrai house and the Darkrai event will start. ONLY AFTER YOU HAVE BEAT THE ELITE 4 are you able to access these events.This is exactly why "walkthrough walls" should never be used lightly

I get the updated 1.1.1 code to work on yuzu provided by OP. But, it doesn't work with the starters no matter what I do

It is supposed to. Its been like that since og gen 3 or so and every gen after that. Nothing we can do about that without serious work that is never worth the effort. Just the way the game is programed

Other issue, the EXP X4 doesn't work on emulator? I have it on but it doesn't seem to do anything. I don't see the Pokémon getting x4 exp.
