ROM Hack Pokémon Blaze Black & Pokémon Volt White

Noticed a glitch playing Volt White, Version 3.0, Bianca battle after receiving the Driftveil badge: Bianca does not have Persian, and instead uses two Musharnas on her team. (For what it's worth, started with Oshawott, so this is her Tepig team.)

Her second Musharna was also a relatively low level (I think it was 24? Well below what it should be).

Also, since you were asking, I have been using Steelix with no problems thus far (although I plan on dumping it once I get a better steel in Chargestone Cave); no missing moves or anything of the like (i.e., gained the option to learn DragonBreath at Level 40 per normal).

Unless this Bianca glitch is related to using a Steelix, which seems...probably unlikely, no?

I'll certainly let you know if I notice anything odd with Steelix, although I don't think I'll be making enough use of it to say. It's possible that one of its later level-up moves might get cut off the list if there is in fact a move limit, but that would just be speculation on my part. But its base stats and resistances are working fine, and no oddities with its moveset yet.

Also I know this glitch has already been noted before, but just wanted to confirm that the Cheren-attacking-your-pokemon-in-double-battles glitch persists in the preschoolers battle initiated by Adler on Route 5.

Yeah, a move being cut-off - probably the last one - is what I'd expect. Last one it learns is Stone Edge at 62, which is pretty high so I don't blame you if you drop it before then. I'll just have to test it myself sometime.

I guess it adds extra difficulty to the battle? Hoho.

Steelix (potentially) losing Stone Edge's not a huge loss anyway, since at least that move can be re-taught via Technical Machine.

It was more annoying that Cheren's Staraptor was shuffling through my entire 'effing team with whirlwind than anything else, really.

Actually, while we're on the subject of stupid things that Cheren does, I'm not quite sure the A.I. knows how to handle Contrary. Cheren wasted a turn during the Route 4 Rotation battle Coiling his Servine, thereby reducing its stats. I'm sure Bianca would jump at the opportunity to do the same in battles her Servine/Serperior has the move in its arsenal. He also liked to spam Ally Switch while his Kadabra was in the lead, which obviously does nothing during rotation battles. Might want to consider removing those moves and replacing them if you adjust his roster in the future, if you have the mind to do it.

I was hoping to avoid custom moves that early ;_; Sigh, wish the AI wasn't so silly, but aside from making it direct towards super effective moves there's not a lot else you can do :/ Guess I'll have to give them custom moves if I want to fix that.

zip/rar --> is archive file try open with 7-zip or winrar.
rtf --> try open with word pad, open office/libre office, microsoft office, or another word processor software

photoshop is for image manipulation, and not used for viewing rar/rtf/pgf/xdelta/patch file, don't double click if is running photoshop, click right on that > open with ...

Drayano, I found an error. The Heat Form Rotom are set as Fire/Fire type and has Sheer Force/Iron Fist/Daruma Mode as Ability 1/2/DW. That's the setup of Damanitan.

I'm almost taking Skyla's gym now, with all my pokemon level 54. They are finally now overleveled anymore.

Oh, and I suddenly ran into Cresselia, but the game froze. I dunno if it was my Acekard or the game.

The Cheren-attacking Glitch didn't happen in the battle against Alder in my game.

Okay, that's another thing to fix...

Running into Cresselia shouldn't fix anything. Possible the Acekard just got hit against something or whatever. I dunno.

Errh, I have a question. I patched an English rom of Black (so, for Blaze Black), and in a linker, it just says "Error Loading something" -4. Then, I tried to load it from an emulator (No$GBA) and it froze when I chosen "New game". Do you understand why ? Also, yes, it was a clean rom of the game. And I tried with Volt White, and the same thing happens...

PS : I used the v.3 version of the patch, the full one.

Hmm... I can't think of anything off the top of my head. I would have said your rom but...

Sigh, I'm not sure. I don't think anyone else had that problem.

...Although, I did at one time get a black screen on New Game on no$ because the save type was wrong. I had it on EEPROM 64K or something to begin with and I just kept freezing when Juniper should appear, but after I changed it to Flash 512K it worked fine. You could try that.

Nope, nothing... I don't really understand, because an older patch worked (I think it was back to v1.something) with the same rom... I'll try another one, and I'll tell you what. Thank you for the fast reply anyway.

And it's not even for me, it's for my girlfriend, she wants to do a Nuzlocke of this game.

This is a (very) silly thing, but I think I can post it.

In Desert Resort, Psychic Low has a Wynaut and a Chimecho. In the original Black & White, he had a Yamask. After losing the battle, he says: "I haven't made good use of the ability Mummy" or something like that, and if you talk to him after the battle he talks about the ability Mummy. But now, none of his Pokémon have Mummy. Perhaps you could add a Yamask to his team, or change the text so that he talks about Shadow Tag instead of Mummy?
