I haven't played many RPGs on the DS besides the Pokemon series, but I definitely think BW are easier than the previous games. No damage from poison out of battle, elites only have four Pokemon, the gym leaders are WAY easier than previous games, EXP curve, etc.

The hard part is online battling, if you don't know the metagame well you probably won't win many battles.

This game was the easiest rpg game by far. What kind of rpg lets you level up 20 times in one battle? Grinding is there for that rewarding rpg feel, if you dont wanna grind at all, an rpg is probably not the best genre for you. Going into battles that deep in high levels is just asking for easy victory if you know what your doing.
How in the world did u get 20 levels in one battle?

Well, i would assume he had a low level pokemon fighting a really high level pokemon, OR Action Replay code for quick experience lol.

The new experience system of Black/White is LOVELY. The higher the level difference between your pokemon and your opponents Pokemon, the more experience you get.(given that your opponents pokemons are higher level of course)

Isn't that standard for every Pokemon game?

For other games you get FIX amount of experience.
Example in HG/SS> lets say your pokemon is level 10 and you are battling a level 10 pokemon. You will gain 200 experience. If your pokemon was level 7 and you beat a level 10 pokemon, you will still get 200 experience points.
In B/W > If your pokemon is 10 and your opponents pokemon is 10, you get 200. However if your pokemon is level 7 and you beat an opponant of level 10 you will get around 250 at least.

The values used are just examples

OK I have played both the Japanese version and American version and never once got 20 levels in one battle, not even battling a low level against a high level Audino who give out EXP like candy and still didn't get that many levels from it.

You do realize these games are aimed at a child audience, right? The pokemon games have always been easy, even back when red and blue/green came out.

That is a wrong statement. The game is aimed for people of any age.
Have you been to any pokemon gaming events? You will see more 18+ then what you would call "children".

Lol so people actually play this and brag xD? That game seriously needs no skills. If someone have ever played against high skilled player on CS 1.6 then thats what u call skills. I was a mid skilled player on 1.6 and when i tried out S4 it was one of the most easiest game i ever played in my life. And yes i hit lvl 20 or something and then quit because CoD on PS3 was actually more challening (Looks at the controll....)

Sorry for going off topic but lol >.

In fact, this is very good, because this allows people to stick to Pokemon they like, not forced to take the very best super special awesome ones and training them like a black man on a bike would train a wimp to make him a boxing champion.

wtf hahaha

i'm gonna win heartgold on ebay in a few minutes. i've played every pokemon but the 2nd gen remake (pokemon blue was the first game i ever owned.). i'll see how it is compared to the others. but pokemon in general is aimed at younger audiences.
yeah, mostly people 18+ play it because they grew up with it, but i guess nintendo likes to keep it known as a "kids'" game. hence the protagonist being 4' tall.
pokemon b/w are aimed at slightly older audiences. notice how the protagonist is much older.
also, pokemon black and white are the first ones that kinda gave me a challenge. or maybe that's just cuz i didn't know there are trainers that heal your pokemon until i got the sixth badge.
maybe in gen VI pokemon games, our protagonist will have a full grown beard, and the game will be rated E10+. (here's hoping)

it's easier than the old games before the elite 4, but afterwards the elite 4 rematches and cynthia are super hard.

Pokemon Black has more challenging end-game contents. White is for nuubs that prefer more pokemons(sarcams intended). The only thing i find hard in this game is the stupid caves =.= Seriously after 10 fights half my pokemon are down becasue i dont have any effective attacks and the fact that im so unlucky that every 1-5 step i take i meet a pokemon. Seriously im unlucky to the point that when i just want to take a 180 degree rotation i meet a pokemon.

There's a reason Repel's are available in the game.

Well... it is mildly more challenging after, but the game itself is pretty easy.

Until you get into competitive play which is basically getting used to losing.

The difficulty is getting embarrassing. I just don't understand most pokemon fans. They actually enjoy 1 hit koing or winning every battle with hyper potions. Fortunately, we finally got some good hacks but 98% of players are gonna miss out and play this mindless game. I love pokemon, but they treat us like we're stupid.

Compared to Diamond/Pearl/Platinum B/W is way more difficult. At least you´ve got your friends Bianca & Cheren nearly all the game close to you to help leveling up easily.

And, has better stuff to do. Battle subway, enhanced wireless (IR,wifi, etc), and stuff.
